Jason Statham’s Humorous Take on Friendship with Vin Diesel: “We’ve Had to Endure Some Rough Times Together”

An English actor shares his memories of working on “Fast & Furious 7” during the film’s premiere in Beijing, China on March 26th.


On the afternoon of March 26th, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, and Vin Diesel arrived in Beijing, China to promote the blockbuster film “Fast & Furious 7”. This movie is also the final work of the late actor Paul Walker.


China is considered the second largest film market in the world, after the United States. That’s why Vin Diesel and the cast decided to debut their movie there first before heading back to Los Angeles for the global premiere this weekend.


Jason Statham takes on the role of the main villain in “Fast & Furious 7”. During a press conference, the British actor had the entire room laughing as he shared some behind-the-scenes moments of his fight scenes with Vin Diesel. “There were nights when Vin and I had to ice each other down after some rough fight scenes that left us both battered and bruised. Sometimes we even had to use crutches to get around the set.”


Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez have been a part of the “Fast & Furious” franchise since its first installment that premiered 15 years ago. The seventh installment featured many beautiful settings, including Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
